One Booker couldn’t stop another Friday night until Sarasota High’s coaches intervened.

It was during the third quarter last Friday when Josh Booker, the Sailors’ bruising sophomore running back, was summoned off the field.

“They sat me down. I was like, ‘Coach, I’m not done,’” Booker said.

His coaches told him he was. After all, what more could you expect from a kid that had just rushed for nearly 300 yards and four touchdowns?

“I was like, ‘Oh, man,’’ Booker said after hearing of his stats. “I didn’t even know.”
